Rest Your Head at Croft Farm’s Lakeside Accommodation

We want the whole experience at Croft Farm to be one school groups will remember for years to come. The waterside adventure continues on-site with accommodation at Croft Farm not only designed and furnished based on feedback from our schools, but with the natural outdoor atmosphere that reminds groups they are staying somewhere truly unique. We therefore offer accommodation options that are both comfortable and practical for groups enjoying the many watersport options on offer.

Student Accommodation

The majority of our groups are accommodated in 2- and 4- person heated chalets, located in close proximity to the toilet and shower blocks.

A popular choice with our school groups is the recently added purpose-built Scandinavian-style heated log cabins, which can sleep up to 4 in each. These cabins contain a living room with a sofa bed and en-suite facilities, and also benefit from a large veranda ideal for storing wet items and muddy footwear. The popular cabins are perfect for groups of up to 40.

All of our accommodation options consider how we can bring the outdoors inside without skipping on the warmth and comforts everyone desires when it’s time for lights out. Please contact your Regional Account Manager to discuss current availability.

Adult Accommodation

We understand a trip away is not only a big step for children, but can also seem daunting for some teachers leading a residential for the first time. To provide teachers with a respite during their stay, rooms are comfortably furnished and include twin beds, complimentary bedding, tea and coffee. Party Leaders are allocated an exclusive separate external shower and toilet unit next to the adult rooms.

Site Security at Croft Farm

The safety and security of all our groups are our number one priority. All JCA residential visitors are accommodated in purpose-built blocks set within the grounds that are covered by CCTV.

There are areas of the site that are used by public guests and these are clearly marked and are not used during the group’s stay.

A JCA team member is on call 24 hours a day to support groups during their stay. Senior members of staff are on duty until 22:30pm each day with a night porter on duty from 22:30 until the morning. The night porter is based in the office observing the CCTV system and making regular patrols of the site. The main entrance gates are locked automatically at 11.30pm and re-open at 6.30am.

In the event that anyone wishes to leave or enter the site during these times, they must contact a member of staff for the code to open the gates.

The Party Leader Retreat

Our teacher’s retreat area offers a change of scene to the chalets, and includes comfy sofas and chairs, and tea and coffee facilities.

At the Lakeside clubhouse, while the groups get stuck into their water-based activities, adults can relax in front of the large screen TV in the cafe and bar area, if they choose.

  • 12-acre lake (chest depth)
