The outstanding facilities and quaint setting of Condover Hall have long made it a favourite with our school groups. Located in the village of Condover, Shropshire, our activity centre has seen schools, groups and associations enjoy a wide range of onsite activities on one-day events, weekend trips and mid-week residential trips.

Here we take a quick look at what makes Condover Hall stand out from the crowd.

Activities at ‘The Hall’

Our multi-million-pound refurbishment in 2011 saw us transform an old school into a fun house with rooms filled with a laser maze, grid of stones, buzz, vortex, and even a tunnelling system. The series of challenges provides children with hours of endless excitement, laughter and initiative-based exercises. From the rustic charm of the ‘spell room’ to the fluorescent walls of the grid of stones, new technology meets classic entertaining activities that require key skills and teamwork.

Around the grounds

One of the things we love the most at JCA is getting outdoors. With activities such as abseiling, fencing, sensory trail and the zip wire to enjoy, it’s no surprise we endeavour to make our outdoor activity areas as safe and exquisitely well-kept as that expected from King Edward the Confessor himself (a bit of history for you).

Awarded with the Learning Outside the Classroom (LOtC) quality badge, Condover Hall is set to ensure children (and adults) can take part in numerous adventure activities that provide an experience unmatched within the confines of the classroom.

Our JCA instructors

With 92% of last year’s teachers marking JCA instructors as ‘Excellent’ or ‘Good’, it’s clear our JCA team make a residential trip to Condover Hall a memorable experience. From running through the essential information needed to safely take part in the activities and the all-important roll call songs groups will be singing weeks after their residential trip, Condover Hall’s JCA instructors receive fantastic feedback from students on our Facebook page who wish to thank them for making their activity trip that extra bit special.

Location, location, location

Located in the West Midlands, Condover Hall provides a great option for schools travelling from the surrounding regions. Many schools further afield choose to make the journey to our flagship activity centre on the outskirts of Shrewsbury; a testament to the top-notch facilities and thought-provoking activities led by our dedicated team of JCA instructors.

With numerous attractions nearby, teachers and parents alike see the benefits of choosing Condover Hall for their next activity trip. Groups can visit one of Shropshire’s most well-known landmarks, The Wrekin, located just 8 miles away from the Condover Hall site.

There are also a number of fascinating points of interest close by, including the Royal Air Force Museum and Engenuity Museum.

Something special…

The extensive range of onsite activities combined with the fantastic facilities and energetic instructors has made Condover Hall a firm favourite with schools and families. With the added improvements planned for 2015 which will include a new high ropes course and lake, Condover Hall remains a JCA centre of excellence that delivers a comprehensive outdoor learning experience.
