Helping make a difference together
For more than 40 years, we’ve helped schools create unforgettable residential trips filled with outdoor adventure, new friendships and lifelong memories.
Now, we’re proud to share that each JCA trip also helps support Rockinghorse Children’s Charity — a remarkable organisation close to our Head Office in Brighton, dedicated to helping sick and disabled children across Sussex.
A little goes a long way
By choosing JCA for your school or group residential, you’re helping fund life-changing support for children and families.
Your contribution helps Rockinghorse:
- Provide lifesaving and specialist medical equipment
- Enhance children’s wards with calming, child-friendly spaces
- Support wellbeing projects and therapeutic care
- Bring comfort and joy to young patients going through difficult times
Together, we can help make hospital stays kinder, safer and more hopeful.
About Rockinghorse Children’s Charity
Founded in 1967, Rockinghorse has spent over five decades improving outcomes for children across Sussex.
The charity works closely with:
- The Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital
- The Trevor Mann Baby Unit
- Neonatal units and children’s wards across the region
Rockinghorse funds everything from essential equipment to specialist toys, staff support and hospital improvements. Because they receive no government funding, they rely entirely on the generosity of communities, supporters and organisations like ours to continue their vital work.
How your JCA trip makes a difference
Every residential booked with JCA directly supports Rockinghorse’s work — helping sick and vulnerable children access the care, comfort and treatment they need.
With the help of your students, staff and families, we can:
- Support medical teams across Sussex
- Improve children’s hospital experiences
- Help fund better treatment, spaces and equipment
- Bring moments of joy and reassurance to the children who need it most
