Orienteering is a challenging outdoor adventure sport the exercises both the mind and body. The aim is to navigate between control points marked on an orienteering map. Learning to use a map and compass to get from one marked point to another is a rewarding activity which requires concentration, communication and team work. The students will learn techniques and map reading skills such as looking at scales, keys and grids through specific games and exercises.
The session can be run as a race to see who gets to each or the final destination first either individually or in pairs. On your marks, get set, and go!
