Here at JCA we are committed to supporting local products and regularly review our activity centres to ensure they meet our high ‘green’ standards.

We are encouraging children to bring sleeping bags to the centre in order to lower detergent and water usage. This is voluntary but we hope that many schools will support us with this initiative. Full bedding is still provided for all accompanying teachers.

Sandymouth Bay nature and wildlife

Sandymouth Bay is a secluded park surrounded by countryside. It’s a great place to enjoy the outdoors and learn about protecting the local environment. Wildlife from foxes and badgers to deer and voles live in the area, and keen bird watchers should bring along binoculars as barn owls, buzzards and woodpeckers are just some of the birds you may be able to spot.

The countryside location allows groups to focus on the rich natural environment and have fun learning outside the classroom in the fresh air.
