Harrow House is set within a breathtaking natural environment, beside the Jurassic Coast. The area became a designated UNESCO World Heritage site in 2001, placing it alongside the Great Barrier Reef and the Grand Canyon in terms of its natural importance. The area is of significant value to the Earth Sciences as its geology has preserved 185 million years of history. It’s an ideal place to get students interested in history, science and the natural world, and influence the way they think about the future of the planet
Dorset is home to a vast amount of wildlife. The shelving sandy beach at Swanage has been awarded a Blug Flag and the unpolluted waters are home to thriving marine life making it a popular dive and snorkelling spot. Close to Harrow House there are some stunning nature reserves to explore where students can get close to the wildlife.
