Accreditation
Our aim is to provide activity courses with safety as our top priority and with the emphasis on enjoyment, education and self-development. We acknowledge the roles of a range of regulatory and advisory bodies and we strive to exceed the standards defined by BAHA, AALA, DCFS and a range of sporting National Governing Bodies.
AALA has Croft Farm (licence no. (L5148) for kayaking, Rafting, canoeing, Sailing and Windsurfing.
We operate strictly within the code of practise laid down by the British Activity holiday Association (BAHA) of which we are full members. Our centres are subject to inspection by independent inspectors.
Affiliated to the NAHT, membership of Association of Heads of Outdoor Education Centres is widely regarded as a hallmark of ethical and quality management. Our Managing Director is a full member of AHOEC.
All our staff are trained by onsite holders of the GNAS leader’s award and our archery ranges are operated according to the GNAS guidelines.
All lifeguards working at our centres have been trained to the minimum level required by the RLSS.
Our instructors are trained in First Aid and hold the Health and Safety Executive Appointed Person Award.
We are a Registered Body with the Criminal Records bureau and all our staff are required to apply for Enhanced disclosure.
Our instructors are trained by the English Fencing Association. All fencing coaches hold the EFA’s Club Leader Award. Our Centres are EFA approved Centres.
Croft Farm Leisure and Waterpark is a recognised RYA Training Centre and as such is subject to regular inspections of its courses, equipment and instructors.
Surfing and Boogie Boarding are operated under the supervision of an accredited BSA Surf School. All instructors hold the BSA level 1 Coach or RLSS Beach Life Guard qualification.
We are corporate members of the Institute of Outdoor Learning.
